2 Papers Accepted for Fall 2025 Venues

This past summer, I’ve worked on two publications, both of which have been accepted to workshops to take place in October.

• Optimizing Vision Transformers for White Shark Re-Identification at BayLearn 2025
• Building a Flexible Framework for Automated White Shark Re-Identification at the Workshop for Computer Vision for Ecology at ICCV 2025

These papers both explore fine-tuning vision transformers and refining instance retrieval techniques to perform well on a challenging dataset of shark fin images. They offer an overview of different techniques explored during the first year of my master’s degree and provide experimental results and discussion of real-world impact.
